Hi folks...
Chris here from Nova Scotia,again.
I have some gaskets and rings on the way for my little engine.
Thanks for the help there by the way.
Every evening i clean up a few more parts ,getting ready for reassembly.
Im thinking i should replace the fuel and oil filters.
I dont have the part numbers for this engine.
I do however have a parts book for a D4600.
Any chance that they have the same filter numbers?

Thanks Chris

Depends on what you have and if it is correct for the serial numbers.
Several filter evoltions occurred for the D4400/D4600.

My power unit engine..serial number 1S4877.
Direct electric start.
Kind of high output at 51 horsepower at 1650 rpm no load and 1550 full load.
Others i have read about are a bit less.
not sure of the year.
Has the large injectors with the single threaded retainer.
The fuel filters (4 of them) look like socks mounted to a plate under the cover.
Does the fuel go into the center of each filter and then up to the top where it then goes to the injection system ?
Im a small engine gas guy (millwright by trade). Not sure how i got into small gas stuff cause this Cat is so much better.
However the Cat thing is a bit off my scale.
But im learning every day thanks to you folks.
Thanks Chris

Fuel filters are pretty much the same, it's the oil filters that have the variety. Best to pull what you have and match it up.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
