This generator flowed me home! it appears to be a d4400 engine. with a 44-20 s generator.
There is no engine tag left so have to remove the paint.
Does someone have some info about specs etc?
I am not so in to the electrics but we would like to put it in use during our earthmoving events here in Holland.
So any help is welcom!
It has a pony on it but it is not build for a pony i thing becouse they blind plated the bendix, and the cooling canals are not conected.
Starting engine is a 12 volt starter.

Today we had some time to work on the diesel electric set.
I found out some details.

Engine number 1S2291
44-20 s
Generator The louis allis co
22.2 kva 20 kw 1200 rpm
110/220 volt  1 phase
60 cycles
10.8 amps
no of line leads 2
exciting volts 32  amps 19
Generator number T30ks195
They took some numbers off, but luckaly i could find the stamped engine number

I started the diesel, and it runs good, has some carter pressure but not much. 4000 hours could also be 14000..
For now we can not get any output out the generator, and i don't exactly know how to wire it up. we want to run it 220 volts so we can test it.
If someone has some instruction manual for it? any help would be welcome! we really want this one to run!

I have the twin!

My pony appears original but the whole unit has been repainted at some point and a lot of the plates are missing. The information on the generator element is useful mine needs a full refurb.

Please share any information you find,

Matt

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
