No connection, just saw it on CL, & in the interest of preserving Cats, thought I'd pass the link along...

Hi, D9gdon.
Maybe Ateco. They used to make blade lift arrangements like that for Fiat AT7s at one tiime and I seem to remember seeing similar arrangements on other tractors. It is a good arrangement for tractors without a hard nose 'cos it keeps the blade weight off the main frame/engine without a whole lotta excess linkage to wear and create slack.

Just my 0.02.

LaPlante Choate makes one similar to it.

Looks like a clean design. The blade itself looks like a LaPlant Choate.

Yep, I shouldn't say too much, I guess...it's only 150 mi. from my place...
I was wondering about that cylinder setup too, hadn't seen one exactly like it.

Deas, this is an ATECO dozer for a D-4.

Hi, Paso Bob.
Methinks if I had a need for one, I would rather have the other design than this one. This one doesn't look as clean or neat and DOES look decidedly more 'fragile' than either the other Ateco design or the Cat arrangement.

Just my 0.02. Thanks for the photo.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
