AS I have mentioned in a previous post I am in the process of parting out 3 or 4 D4 machines and have had enough inquiries to indicate that I should not junk a great deal of the several tons of parts. Thanks for the response. In order to not misrepresent anything could any of you members give me a proper scheme for measuring track wear-center to center of pins, chain height pad thickness, etc. as I will be disposing of possibly 100 ft of track? In shipping would it not be a good idea to torch the pad bolts, stack the pads, and roll the chain, and strap to a pallet? Jim

This site has the specs for wear limits.

If the tracks to be shipped as usable I think it would be better to leave the pads on, there is considerable expense in installing them.

Shipping may be a deal killer for a lot of folks.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
