Several months ago I purchased a tool to release the spring pressure on the steering clutches for disassembly. I thought that there was a video on how to do it (safely) but I cant find it now. Any suggestion on information on using the tool???             Thanks,  Grant.

Grant, I just put the clutch in the press and pressed down on the tool to compress the springs, enabling removal of the cotters. It was easy. If you want to do it while the clutch is installed on the tractor, you could probably rig a hole ram with the center bolt to press down on the plate. Probably would need a suitable clearance adaptor so you can get in there to remove the cotters.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
