Can you fit a 4 1/2 bore cylinder in an old 7j or 4g RD4. I know they came with 4 1/4 but just wondering if anyone has tried it. I know cat made a few
D4's with a D6 engine. I think they called it a D5. Saw one up a Jim Zimmermans last winter. I suppose bigger injectors would be neccessary. Thanks
John

Don't know all the details but yes....the D4400 can/has been modified to accept the 4-1/2 in bore pistons.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
