Hello,
I need to make some spark plug wire tubes for my D4-2T pony motor and would like to get the dimensions from somebody with an original tube. Inside and outside diameter and length.
Thanks,
Brian

I made some up out of copper tubing. Flared the ends. I'd have to check myself but I think it was 3/8" od. Just used the length I thought it needed to keep the wires tucked in and away from the v-belt.

The one clamp that I have for one of the horizontal tubes won't clamp down on a 3/8" OD tube, I was thinking maybe they were 7/16" OD, or is my clamp stretched out?

I'll check closer, pretty sure it's 3/8" tube but I don't remember if I replaced the clamp.

Looks like I changed clamps. You can just barely make out the conduits in this old picture. Last few inches to the mag cap are plastic spiral wrap.

Hi OM,
just love your idea and fabrication of a "crank support" to stop bending and stressing the centre web of the rather spindly pony cranks.
I usually used a slow tapered hard wood wedge for support of the flywheel onto the top of the flywheel housing when tightening and loosening the flywheel retaining nut.
Thank You for sharing.
Cheers,
Eddie B.

Hi edb,
Works pretty slick, has since been modified so that you can flip it over for use on the D2. Always bugs me to see those broken out rope slots in the flywheel where some one has used a makeshift prop. The rattle gun version is just as bad.

I Borrowed OM's tool quite a few yers ago for tightening the Flywheel nut on my 3J. Yes, it's a Jim Dandy of a tool. You can really tighten the nut to specs. and not worry about busting up the flywheel. Thanks again OM.

dvandragt,
Did check on the tubing, it is 3/8" OD with 7mm solid wire core cable.
