Hi, I picked up this D4 yesterday. I'm posting the serial plate as well if anyone has any info. Got a great deal with a D2 5j  as well.

Any idea what the 7J with the W at the end means?

Hi,
7J is the tractor serial prefix and the “W” is for wide gauge. Unlike the D2 where a different serial number prefix was used for wide(5J) and narrow (3J) gauge tractors, all D4 tractors had the same range with the W denoting wide gauge.

What make of Blade is that? Looks like a pain to get to the pony to start.

The pony has electric start. Yes, it's tight to use the rope for sure. I'm not sure about the blade. It looks really good not like the homemade blades I've seen on D2"s. So I figured it was a factory blade. But that's why I'm looking for advise from the guys who know!!!😁

Many things about this blade looks like Bucyrus Erie, put they used a lot of cast parts. This looks more standard channel and plate welded. Ateco also made similar style blade lift arms, but I have never seen one just like this. Looks like it is able to push some dirt around and not fall apart, as no big repairs showing. But I don't see a hydraulic pump front or back?

It has what appears to be a factory pump where the pro would be. It works good . I was not sure if blade was factory or if someone did a nice job building it.
