I have a D4 7U28085 and need the parts break down picture w/part numbers of the front track idler. I need to replace the shaft, and two seals that I need the part numbers for and two bushings 7B7166. I would also like any ones input as to where to get these parts new or surplus. This old dozer gets used every year all summer and this year I have three ponds to fix where the muskrats have tunneled through the dike. I used to get parts from Surplus Tractor Parts in Fargo but I see there gone. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!!

I changed mine over to oil filled like a D4D. Contact White Tractor parts and ask for Warren. The phone number I have is 800-821-2798.

Easy repair is to weld that shaft and lathe it back to spec though I reckon some of those shafts were designed to be reversed for a extra life, you can also re-sleeve the bronze bushes if you get stuck, but if money is burning a hole in your pocket here are the part numbers from Parts Book 7U27570-Up

Go on the Machinery Trader website and use their Parts Search function, you will find all these parts are available Stateside from different vendors, possibly even your local Cat Dealer

Shaft 3F0641
Seal 7B5638
Bushes 1F2741

Thanks for the phone number shelbysharpd4, sometime I’dlike to switch the idlers to the solid type, my dozer needs new all new tracksbut until then I think I’ll go cheap and try to find a shaft. Mike: I wish Icould use my old shaft but I messed up big time. I have no book and should havegotten one before I attempted to pull the shaft. I tried taking it apart like Idid a D2 and pretty much ruined the shaft (dang). Thank you for the partnumbers, I’m still looking for the shaft.

It don't have a blade. Yes those are 24" shoes, to much griptation for cat engineers to design trunnion mounts for a blade. Probably spin the pinions out of it. good luck.
