Hello,
I have a 1943 D4-2T tail seat orchard tractor. It has no attachments or options like PTO or hydraulics. I assume being built during WWII it was only available bare bones like this. If I was a farmer in 1943 and was lucky enough to get a new D4, what hydraulic options would I have had? I want to put some rear outlets on it to lift a plow or disk. Does anybody have copies of factory advertising or operating manuals for hydraulic setups available in 1943? Would a hydraulic setup for a blade be different than one for towed implements?

Thanks,
Brian

Laplante-Choate pump setups on them. There are 2 spool option hydraulic systems that are popular on farmer tractors with resivour typically on the rear verse in front of the radiator. There have been a few posted over the years on here. I don't have time to do a SEARCH today or I would copy a Link for you.

One of the easiest and most common was the BeGe rear hydraulic setup in either one or two valve arrangement.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
