My steering clutch lever will not move. I think the bearing is froze up. I do not think there is a problem with the steering clutch.
My main problem I can not find the bearing part number in the parts book. Anyone know what or where the part number is?
Here is what I am looking for, where the black arrows are pointing to.

Thanks,
Muzz

Part numbers are shown under Steering Clutch Control.
Latest numbers are outer race 3H8363
Roller assy. 1B3756

Last I recall Cat had some weird replacement combination.
That was one of Cat's dumber ideas to place a roller bearing in a location that you can't lubricate and is prone to rust.
I'd encourage the use of a plain bronze bushing or one of modern plastics.

So can I remove the and old one and replace it without tearing the whole trans cover off?

Hi muzz, T

There is 4 bearings one on the top of the bell crank an one on the bottom, then multiply by two. And yes you have to pull the trans cover off to replace them and what you will find is the bell crank will be rusted and pitted. Yes it is a stupid idea by Cat and OM's thinking of bronze bushes is the way to go.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
