Hi, I am looking for the original specs on the hieght of the grousers on a d4 7u with 18” pads. It’s a 4 roller undercarriage. I’m looking to buy weld on grouser bar material. Pins, bushings, and pads are all in great shape. Thanks Travis Hansen

I think they are a hair over 1-3/4 inches or maybe 1-7/8 inches. There are several variations but I think that is about what the standards were.

Chains are about 3-5/8 inches when new.

Perfect, thank you Jim. My grousers are worn down too 3/4” and I found some weld on bars that are 1” tall.

You are all set. Just a lot of sparks to glue the bars on and you're done. 👍

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
