Well call me crazy, I bought on EBAY, a data plate for a D4 7U 20668, which I do not own.

I would enjoy keeping this with my collection of things but think I should at least try and find the tractor it actually was attached to so who ever might own it could enjoy it.

It appears to be cast brass or bronze and has more info than simply the tractor S/N as you should be able to see.

If my search is not productive I will enjoy it.

Hi rperuta, I admire your thoughtfulness in giving the rightful owner (if there is one) a chance to reclaim the data plate.
Thank You,
Craig

I saw that and almost pulled the trigger. My guess is the tractor was scrapped

True, the tractor may have been scrapped but If someone has or finds the tractor this came off it should go home, some things just should be original.

Next best would be someone with a 7U that was or is being restored / made into a machine this plate could be used. Until then I guess It will hang on my wall with the finish it has. If someone else were to need it and care to clean it up that will be their call.
