I have a 1950 d47u that is missing a lot of parts and is a mess. It has an adjustable blade and a d4 winch. I just ran across a 1944 d42T that is complete but had the blade and winch removed. Would my part interchange? Not just the blade and winch but would the under carriage other stuff interchange?

Lots/most parts will interchange. I am certainly no authority on D4's but I think the outboard track frame support is different and things related to the engine controls and air intake are different.
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time😄

I was hoping that my bar, blade and under carriage would be interchangeable. Oh, and I hope the winch mounts too.

The 2t is a narrow gauge and the 7u is wide, so there will be problems with the c frame. The 7u track pads will be to wide for the 2t. My 2t has 13 inch pads and there is little room to the tractor side panels . By what the parts book shows most everything will switch. My 2 cents.... WA7OPY

Not all 2T's are narrow gauge. I had one for years and it was a wide gauge.

Yes on the winch transfer seeing that the 7U is a side tank model. Much more complicated to adapt the winch to a seat tank model. Assorted parts will interchange including complete engine assemblies. Track frames are different in that your 2T is before the large outer sprocket hub change.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
