Everything was just fine....same old story....then...while pulling, my shift lever became out of pattern with the cast shift guide. It now will not move over to the left into the 2nd-reverse slots and will not move forward at all, only back and right. I still have a single forward gear, feels like first while in between the shift slots. Any suggestions?

You are going to have to take the stick out and shift the transmission into neutral. Then look at the shift rails and gates and the end of the stick and see what is worn the worst. I have tried building up the tip of the stick on a heavy truck, but my weld was not hard enough and it didn't last.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
