can anyone tell me the spec/ measurement for the (4 1/4 bore engine) lifter yoke to pump housing measurement spec?? is it 1.741" or is it something else. for some reason this measurement is not making the engine run. I have another spec of 1.736" but the manual says that is for the 4 1/2 engine.. im so confused. this is a 1941 D4 7J dozer... thanks

edb had some posts a while back on how variations from the 1.736" could affect injection timing and it showed that a few thousands made a big difference in the ignition timing, IE several degrees.
Make certain the measurement is from the machined surface free of all paint and crud.
