Hello all,

I have a D4 6U s/n 11157.

The operators book I have does not cover the adjustment of an oil clutch, only the dry clutch. Would anyone have the procedure to adjust an oil clutch and what type / weight oil is recommended?

My parts book list the oil clutch but that does not help much. The clutch is working fine but the pull on the lever seems a little loose and pops easily when a leg hits it, so I would like to check it along with change the oil.

I guess I need to but a book that includes oil clutch info 😊

Have to go to the 955 -12A Operation and Maintenance Instructions for adjustment info which is where the D4 oil clutch came from. Original spec was SAE 30 same as the main engine. Current replacement for the clutch would be TDTO-4 in SAE 30.

Thanks much, I am going to drain and wash the housing first then check the adjustments. Again thanks much for the information.
