Hello all,

We recently picked up a D4 5T, and we found a interesting little unit on the side of the injector pump housing. We've concluded it's a "Murphy Switch" but it has cat casting numbers and sylphon cast on the side. I'm looking fore more information on how to use/care for it, as it is something you don't see every day on a old D4. In particular any service manuals or info would be greatly appreciated.

That's part of the safety shutdown controls usually found on Gen Sets or Industrial engines.

Thanks for the info oldmagnet! It really helps to know how to use it, and how it functions.
