Hi all its been ages sense I have posted on here I had to update my profile. lol Well any way I have an old d4 5t with a cable dozer on it. The old beast runs pretty good but it has a few problems I would like to get worked out. First off its leaking coolant around the pre-combustion chambers on #2 and 3 cylinders it seems to be external no white smoke when running just get antifreeze running down the side of the block and head. Next up I am tired of rope starting the pony can some one tell me what size belt the starter takes? I have had this old cat about 10 years and never used the E-start on the pony. It will most always start on the second pull. But I am getting old and fat and its really hard to get the rope rapped.

Thanks in advance
Ken

In my limited experience with electric start ponies, if you have to rope one with the electric option, then the added mechanical losses can make pulling the rope tough. It gets worse because usual use of the electric might allow one to ignore pony problems that would be addressed if all you had was a rope. I do understand the wrapping problem as I have finger/hand contractions that make reaching in there difficult sometimes. I guess I am too stubborn for my own good sometimes.
