I am helping a friend who is working on his 1937 D4 4G. He needs the gasket that mates the pony manifold water passage to the diesel engine. This is an all rubber gasket, and NOT the one that is metal with rubber pressed on each side. The dealer is unable to assist and i could use help finding the part #. Thanks

Hi, d4angelo.

I found when I was working on the Santa Margarita ranch that searching for parts for older machines atta Cat dealer needed a slightly 'different' touch. MANY of the newer 'parts specialists' in Cat dealers today haven't been told to look in the 'Classic Caterpillar' section for parts for older machines. You might try asking them to do that.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
