If, D3B,C ect and D4 later series use a common steering brake band, then what is the BEST configuration among the many?

I have seen statements/ articles about dufferent combinations of segment numbers and fibre material. Surely there is one that stands out as superior for durability and function.???

Your opinions please?

Thanks for your time,

In general I don't think many get that far in to it. Either going with replacement for original or possibly selecting from a H.D. option if listed for the particular model.
