On my d2 sn 3j 1509sp I've been hunting fuel problems... at first it was only running on three cylinders and sounded like a two cylinder JD, I checked the fuel injectors and found no. 4 was ceased. I now have it running on all cylinders but no.2 and no.3 seem to not be fueling properly as the fuel lines on these two cylinders don't have the heart beat pulse that the outside two have. The engine does not have as much power as I think it should when I tried ploughing with it should pull a 3-16 pretty easily in soft black dirt (not turning sod just crop land)... My plan is to swap the lifter pumps from the inner two cylinders to the outer two cylinders and see if the problem follows. Also plan to check lifter height. Any other suggestions? It is also hard to start and does not smoke a lot of white when starting like other d2s I've been around. I also would like to request a scan of the fuel pump parts diagram(s) if someone is willing to share. Fuel pump is sn 10p 4283. And the pumps look different than other ones I've seen. Has a smaller knurled top instead of the bigger slotted kind I don't know of interchangeability of these parts.
