D333 Cat engine

I know we have a for sale forum but this is my question. I was a a fellows shop this morning and he has a real clean D333 Power unit. Looks factory in that the radiator is mounted and the exhaust comes back to a turbo by the mounted air cleaner. Has a clutch/bellhousing with out put shaft.
He says he has not heard it run but it does turn completely over. I think he would sell it cheap but was afraid to make an offer. I have no need for anything like this but hate to see it get scrapped. anyone have any interest. located in lower middle Tennessee.

D333 without the turbocharger was used in 12E grader, D6C tractor etc. Head casting or crankshaft is probably worth as much as the whole thing if you find someone that needs one.

We have one here that was an ex military power unit. Rated 200 hp @ 2100 rpm I believe. They're quite a horse!

The D333 (4.5" bore) became the D333C (4.75" bore) in the late 1960's and after a couple years became the 3306.

Thanks I am not interested but if someone needs the head or crank I would buy it and send it on.
