I just pulled the valve cover on my d6 and found no.5 exh rocker broke in half and the adjuster wore down to half it's size. Upon further inspection I found all the rockers loose and the top of the adjusters are flush with nuts. And the 2 push rods I pulled are flat on the bottom minus a nipple in the middle of them. Pictures to follow. Any ideas on the wear issues??

Sludged up rocker arm shafts? Got plenty of them if you want.

Wonder what the cam shaft lobes and lifters look like.

Or are you only looking in the rear compartment? If only 4, 5 and 6 look like that........When the rocker broke did it bleed away all the oil flow from the other rockers?

D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time😄
