I need to buy a service manual for the D311 engine in my D2. I have looked at the offerings on ebay and most books are for a certain SN and up. How do I find the SN of my engine? The engine has a data plate with the tractor number "4U531". Where should I be looking for the engine SN so I can get the right manual?

Thanks guys. For some reason I thought the engine had a separate SN.

B4D2, that is cool. Those SN's are pretty close. I wonder if they would recognize each other 😆
