I have what seems to be a problem with my d2 when I go to turn right.
Two week ago I had a neighbor ask if i would move alittle dirt for him.
Which I jump at the chance to do so.
The little pusher pushed like a tuned up D7. Everything was going just as it should.
After about 4 hour,it slowly went from fun to work!!
Anyway, after we finished I brought it home and parked it.
Then,Last night I had another neighbor ask if I would move some dirt around for him.
Again, I jumped at the chance.
So I started the diesel and let her warm up for 5 min, turned her around and headed for my next door neighbors house.
As I was going toward his house I noticed there was alot more brake pedal effort needed to turn right.
The thing that makes me wonder is the tractor only has 2100 hrs on it.
Both right and left pedals go down an equal distance, only about a inch,so I don't think it would be a adjustment issue????? or would it???.
Could it be oil on the brake band???.
Before this happened,I have noticed that the late mdel D2s turn alot easier than the earlier ones.
How hard is it to get the bands out? Any idea's would be appreciated.
THANKS IN ADVANCE COMPRESSOR DAVE

Brake band is impossible to remove on D2 without removing final drive.

Could very well be oil on brakes. Check/drain what is in the clutch cases (water/ oil/ sludge) and then adjust the brakes to spec when you're at it. If you get much oil out or want to try it anyway, then put the plugs in and fill the compartment enough to get the kerosene/diesel fuel up onto the drum and then drive forward and back to wash the drum and band while applying the brake occasionally. It is generally not recommended to disengage the steering clutches while washing the compartment unless you are having problems with them slipping or they are stuck.

It is also possible that the steering clutches need adjusting so they release completely.

Thats what happened to me last weekend, kept having to adjust the right hand steering clutch. So check the left side and make sure it is pulling. As the rust in the steering clutches the steering lever lost its freeplay and that side quit pulling. After adjusting the clutch twice it was pulling great.

I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
