While Toby (Squatch253) was describing his D2 undercarriage problems in a recent YouTube video, he showed an undercarriage measurement guage.  It was shinny Cat yellow and provided information about the degree of wear on the rollers, rails, sprockets, etc.  It looked to be laser cut on a piece of steel plate.  Will anyone who has one of them post the pattern or a photograph so it can be duplicated?

If someone doesn’t beat me to it, I will, but not for a couple of days. Swamped here. I have one that Someone made.

Neil,

I'm sorry but I've look everywhere for Josh's post but can't, for the life of me, see it. Can you help me where to look?

Thanks!

If someone has one of these gauges, can you use a photocopier or scanner to take an image of it with a regular ruler beside it. Then post it somewhere we can download it please. The ruler in the scan will allow us to scale it to the correct size.

Hi Smithy,
If you are not in a hurry, I believe there is a guy in Chapter 19 that is having some made from D2 through to D8. From talking to him they are at the laser cutters now tobe done.

Regards

This is good to hear, I have 2 D2's that I would love to use the guage on. I also picked up a 1937 22 that I think the tracks are the same. This would be a very useful tool that I would be in to buy one!

If someone could reach out to me or inform me about the appropriate person to connect with regarding acquiring a set of these, I would greatly appreciate it.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
