Hi i've got a 52 D2 its got the seat in the fuel tank just not sure which one it is because there's different decal kits any help would be good thanks.

Hi Dan,
welcome to the BB.

That would be a mid range D2 ( U series were built 1947-1957)

If indeed it is a '52, they built the following S/No machines in 1952 # 4U 4762 - 4U4761, and # 5U 6672 - 5U 9170

Going by your description, yours should be the topseat style - most all D2's are.

The tailseat setups have the operator sitting low and behind the rear end housing, just above the drawbar. The tailseat models have the fuel tank way forward of the operator just behind the pony motor, and the steering and brake controls have linkage rods that bring the levers to the rear of the housing.
