We need a Pony Carb kit that includes all gaskets and possibly float and needle assy. ?Would that be called an overhaul kit? Dana gave me the following as some part numbers, but did not have any parts for it. Can someone verify the numbers and if there is a gasket or float kit?
These are the numbers and message he sent.
On the carb, don't have any kits & did not find any, but here are the part numbers

4M8436 GENERAL

8M2959 CHOKE SHAFT & LEVER

8M2949 THROTTLE SHAFT & LEVER

8M2956 HARDWARE

from Dana, at Florin Tractor Parts

Unfortunately we do not have and parts or service manuals, and are hoping to locate some. I haven't tried a CAT Dealer yet, but may have to to get our Pony Motor running smoothly again. I would like to take the carburetor apart and clean it as we are having a fuel system issue, but would like sone spare parts first.
Thanks for any replies, jamesemu

John Deere pony carbs are basically the same. Parts are available for those here:

There is an excellent thread in the archives on carb rebuilding that Neil posted as he rebuilt his. You can search for it with the search function in the upper right portion of the page. Maybe Neil will chime in and steer you to it.

Hi Jamesemu, I purchased a rebuild kit from 'The Carburetor Doctor'. Here is a link to the $5.00 download for the 10 page overhaul manual...

Good luck.

I have a pdf of the service manual and a later D2 (5U13237+) parts manual if you want them. Not sure how close the parts manual is to your machine but may be better than nothing.

Take a look at this thread which lists a couple of sources plus I've personally bought from BFIC (carbsonly.com, which is not a health food shop..).

Also look at this thread:

Can't find the other thread yet
