here are a few pictures of my D2 5U as of today, we removed the Leon blade and arms, managed to remove the side plates and now have to give it a good washing, sure looks different without the large side plates.

once cleaned we have to drill out the bolts that broke, free up some stuff like the track adjuster and likely throw some paint on the old gal

the original side plates had tape head bolts, are they still available from CAT, local guys here have no clue

Rome, the setup LW2, are you referring to the side frames we removed in the picture? I have the lower dozer arms and blade to install which uses the tapered head bolts, when I use google it comes up as a wheel bolt, are they also used on wheel loaders for the wheels or just coincidence.

Yes, I got the number from the D2 blade parts book. Not sure if they fit loader wheels or not.

Another interesting variation on the blade. laurencen or anyone else is this blade similar to the one Rome pictured and meant to have a bucket as well as a blade?

The neighbors had a IH TD9 with a Ateco combo. That one the loader arms where a separate set from the dozer arms. I have been told it is still around the neighborhood. In the hands of one of my more difficult to get along with neighbors,so will not ask to take pictures of it. I never saw it in use as a loader. The original owner had early OMC tree shaker head mounted on it,for their walnut orchard.

R35192 John Deere part number may be the same thing. It is a wheel bolt style capscrew 3/4" coarse thread about 1.5 inches long. I can get a picture and confirm dimensions if you want. It does not have the extended head height, instead it has about the same height as a regular cap screw
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time😄
