I am restoring a d2 and I have two radiators one of them has light mounting holes on the top and the side and the other just has them on the side was there a seial number break or year that they changed from side to top and side mount.

I noticed that too with those radiators. They are both 1948 models (5U1335 and 4U1200SP) so I wondered if maybe the 4U parts tractor may have had the radiator replaced at one time. My 5U9917 (1952) has top and side mounting holes. My parts catalog only shows one radiator with a 5F1804 top tank, it doesn't show if that tank has light mounting holes or not.

How's the CDU project coming along? Will you be ready for Portland?
