Good Morning
The inlet on the square piece above the carb is for the crankcase breather connected to the oil filler tower. Originally I believe they were a one piece, welded pipe, configuration between the oil filler and the square block.

My plug wires are 18" long and the other 24". I have always heard they should be actual metal wiring.

Good luck and have fun working on it.

Hi ou812jk,

Here is a photo of my pony. The tube on the block on the carb goes to the crankcase breather/oil fill housing. The blue tape covers the opening where the pipe from the air cleaner is mounted.

My pony came with modern resistor wires which seem to work ok. I will replace them with more correct copper wires someday if they give me trouble.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
