just finishing up on steering clutches, main clutch, brakes and starter pinion on my '52 D25U. went to put the pony back on, was able to get the lower gasket and water seal from Cat, but can't find the number in my book for the exhaust gasket. (has a metal ring in the center) Also, is there another seal on the inside of the manifold that keeps hot pony exhaust separate from cold intake air? not sure what Iam looking at there. thanks for the help, Bryan

I'm guessing you're looking at the parts picture for the actual pony engine (pg 35). There's another diagram on pg 8A that shows what you need in the top picture on the right/middle. Those pages may vary if you have a different manual (other than form UE01223😎.

As long as you're talking about the gasket where the pony exhaust goes into the diesel intake, it's part # 5F6839. The inner ring is part # 5F6994. There's a pipe assembly # 7F3028 that runs through the diesel intake manifold to keep the two separated. Somebody else may be able to help with first hand assembly experience since I haven't had mine down that far yet.

Thanks for the help, that was the correct part number. For some reason my book does not have the page 8a, but the page with the pony motor is the same page number as yours. Go figure. Anyway, the pony installation is complete.thanks again,Bryan

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
