Anyone have issues with the modern Cat Pony Motor Carburetor floats? We have at 5J D2 in which we rebuilt the carburetor and replaced the cork float with a modern composite float from Caterpillar. It worked great for about 6 months but now the composite float is coming apart and is swelling up from being submerged in Gasoline. As you can imagine this is causing all kinds of problems plugging up the pony car etc. Anyone know were you can buy a good brass float? We tried Floren Tractor and I guess they are looking for them as well. We still have the cork float and may end up sealing and reusing it.

Thanks,

Joe

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
