CAT dealer for individual parts, not seeing a listing for a kit in my parts book...
JohnDeere dealer part number AR13015 for the gaskets etc kit
Zenith dealer www.carbsonly.com (for example), kit part number K2067

Make your own from gasket paper...........Should be a bull's eye like arrangement, sometimes the center ring is gone and folks don't realize it was ever there.
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time😄

I'm not sure what the A & B designates but the 10368 Zenith number translates to the"U" model D2 carb equivalent 5F-3527 and all use the same Zenith 1036 overhaul kit.

Could be the A & B reflect the change to the little spring loaded window in the choke butterfly.

OM,
is there a cross-reference from Caterpillar part numbers to Zenith part numbers somewhere? My 3J1-5000 parts book doesn't list all of the Zenith carb numbers. Also, for more points, is there an interchangeability chart?

Cheers,
Neil.

A cross-refrence would be real nice I have the 10368 A&B in front of me and the only difference i see is the A and B on the tag could just be a later run. any one out there have a gas cap for the pony motor gas tank mines missing and cant seem to find one at the junkyards. thanks for your help.

Check out John Parks General Gear website for Cat-Zenith cross reference numbers. There are 4 Cat P/No's that cross to Zenith numbers that have 10368 in them .. but there's no 10368A or B.

hello ,some info ,bruce oz

The following chart has been copied (with permission) from a factory Zenith publication, and will help the hobbyist understand the meaning of the Zenith models. This does NOT identify individual carburetors, only the identification number can be used for positive identification:

A – designates a carburetor where the throttle shaft is parallel to the air shutter shaft (with normal air intake).

B – designates a carburetor where the throttle shaft is at right angles to the air shutter shaft (with normal air intake).
