Can I still obtain pins and bushings for D2 tracks? Who's the best source?
Thanks for any help.

Not that I am aware of for D2, I did the upgrade and switched to D3 SALT Rails and pads, complete with the aligator type master links. It cost more than its worth but I had to do something. I found a set the dealer took off before they were shot, they measured just over 3 inches high, thats like new for a D2 and with a fresh P and B turn and 8 used rollers cost me $1800

I've been recently quoted around $US800 per side to fit new pins and bushes to my D2 4U here in Australia by two different shops 2,000 miles apart, I think they are Berco parts. New chain is available too for about $US900 per side but you need to drill slightly larger holes in your plates for the grouser bolts, I think it's about 1/16th" larger. So yes, the parts are available. The problem sounds like when you need bottom rollers, they are harder to find in good shape, but the bottom roller seals are available for about $US25 a piece and you can fabricate new bronze bushes fairly easily, well, a good machine shop will, it's all just about time and money as you know. I've just finished building up my bottom rollers with the arc welder, that took awhile, now I'm ready to tackle the bushes and seals, my tractor had no seals left at all.

Thanks. I have several spare rollers and feel I have rollers enough to last for the rest of my life as little action as these machines see. But, I do want the tracks to stay on and have been told these worn pins/bushings are probably the root of my track woes. I'll see if I can get in touch with Berco. Regards.

Hi Dan, Thanks for that good info, I'd been told they were no longer available. My sweet Mom always said, "believe nothing that you hear, little that you read, but all that you see". I believe what you write though Dan!
