Are you going to put a brush guard on the radiator before you poke a limb through it?
As I assume you are going to be in the woods.
Large front ilders? 5 roller track frames. Do you have a dozer? It changes the whole look of the tractor compared to the 4 roller frame and the small idlers.
Nice!
Beautiful work. That looks really nice.
Very very nice--what is the serial # of your machine
Was that a pipelayer at one time?
For my next project I am intending to put a grauser blade on it so when I put the pump on I'll put the brush guard on the radiator. I probably should have biult the blade instead of painting it but I sure looks pretty😄 .
I am not sure what size the idlers are. Thay are certinly bigger than they used to be when my grandfather and I over hauled the undercarriage ten years ago. We biult them up with some 1/2" 1" stock that we rolled into rings and welded onto the idlers.
I'll see if I can measure the idlers tomorrow and I'll check the serial number. If I remember right, it was manufactured in 1952.
If you build the blade close as possible to the tracks and radiator, you will have one of the best grading D-2's on the planet. I would spend the time and your $ to make it a hyd. tilt too. What a wonderful looking Cat! firpitch
