File/clean the points. Oxidation of the contacts is a common problem.
Did you Bump the shut off switch? be sure it is on. Dandy Dave!
points good and clean , rotor good still nothing , will try to pick up condenser Monday somewhere!!!! any other ideas , seeing that I run it myself I'm thinking condenser !
Does the mag have the ground wire kill switch ?Even if switch is on check that the wire is not bare and grounding things out.
Ray
Do a resistance check on the coil secondary. Should be about 6200 ohms.
Make sure the little carbon contact in the mag cap is in place. Charlie
carbons in place , have tester how do I do the test , what will it confirm ? THANKS !!
Check between the coil lead wire and the brass contact for the for the distributor plate. If you get a "0" reading the coil wire is open.
If your meter can check capacitance the reading between the condenser lead and its case should be about 0.24 micro farad.
If the above suggestions don't help, remove the wire from the kill switch to the mag (at the mag) and check for spark.
