If you are unable to locate main bearings I can reline your old shells and machine them to spec for you.

Thanks Mike looks good how do I get ahold of you ?
Hi Team,
I believe this era machine ran the thick aluminium shells, with no Babbitt, on both the rod and main bearings.
You may need to make up bronze shells and Babbitt them.
Others have machined suitable aluminium bearing material to make their own shells. I think there was some discussion before Xmas about this and it seems from the discussion that Toyota pistons are very similar metallurgy to the Cat shells???
Cheers,
Eddie B.
He contacted me today and he thinks they may be aluminium and suitable tinning solutions for aluminium to babbit are either elusive or non-existant these days. Making new shells is not out of the question.

Thanks everyone for the help I think these will have to be made now if I can get the right material I will get them made.
