Picked this pressure gauge up at an auction today, is this the correct gauge for a '41 5J ?

I don't think the original have would have that color scheme. I believe it would be a satisfactory replacement otherwise.

The 41 D2's had the big four-bolt mounted Sylphon gauges. If you're not a restoration fanatic, it looks like a good replacement with the addition of the four-bolt adaptor ring. on my stationary engine I use a 4" wall mounted gauge from GRAINGERS. The Cat ain't particular.

Looks to be a gauge installed on some 50's series Cat equipment.

I just wish I would have bought more of the parts , they were going cheap, but most of the stuff I had no clue what they went to,mostly seals and bearings ,some what looked liked transmission gears ,if I was a person that Resells stuff I would have bought more ,I did get a rebuilt fuel pump for $25😊

Gauge is in proper English, not American, by the script on that box, I would say it is early '60's production.

3H3344, a 0-60 psi gauge was originally for such models as 988, 977h, 834, Dw20-21 etc, but does also cross to the 5B422 which was fitted to the 1941 5J.

Look closer as its spelled "GUAGE", not Gauge. Which is what prompted the comment about spelling.

They were consistent anyway, I've seen other NOS gauge boxes with that same spelling on them. I got one last year.
