I'm looking at a D2, but it appears to have broken teeth on the final drive on the right side. I can get a parts machine, but I need to know if the final drives are the same on serial number 5u15287 and 3j4387sp. Thank you.

The basic answer is No, there are some parts in the final drive assembly that are the same, but the bull gear and pinion are different, and a complete swap of the assembly will not work either, as one is wide and the other narrow.

Thanks Josh.
Does anyone know of any good place to possibly find a final drive bull gear in western Canada?

If you are going to swap parts, the 5J bull gear changed to the 1F9824, same as used in the U series at 5J6159, if the 5J is prior to that Sn you could swap the whole final drive assembly.
