Welcome to ACMOC. What model of D2 is this (eg. 4U, 5U)? The surest bet is to have the person you purchased the unit from measure it for you.

toolhawk,

This is the trailer I haul my D2 on....6 ton net rating. I had a 5 ton but it was to close on weight for me.. The blade should be just under or right at 8 foot.

Hope this helps.........Bill

I will be looking for a trailer in the future. Who is the manufacturer of your trailer?
Thanks

Pete,
The manufacturer is Hudson Bros. Trailers in North Carolina. I picked it up on my way north to get the D2. I have owned several Hudson trailers and have been pleased.
Have a good evening....Bill

Thanks, Bill. I'll look at them. I may be passing through Dahlonega in April if I take my friend to Springer Mountain so she can hike the AT. Hope the storm didn't cause much problem for you.

Pete,
I think you would be pleased with Hudson.....They use channel iron instead of bent metal for gross rails. They will also customize as I wanted an open type dovetail versus a wood plank.

Drop a note here if you decide to come through Dahlonega. I recommend staying at the Smith House....you won't be disappointed and it is just off the town square.

Have a good day....Bill

This is my tilt trailer I use for my D2 and smaller equipment---I agree with Bill that a 5 ton is marginal for a D2

BTW---my 4u blade is 67 inches wide

Nice looking little Cat- I would say a 4U or maybe 5U with electric starter for the Pony. Cool!

Cysco, is your trailer the Pro or Advantage series? There's one on feebay needing a fix-up - I could be interested but it's a five ton so I'm not sure it's worth it (I also have a D2 to haul) - at least I think it is because the owner says it's a 10,000# but with two dual tire axles it looks more like a 14k minimum.
Cheers,
Neil.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
