I'm working on the battery box of a 1949 D2, there are three holes that were unoccupied when I acquired the machine. Can anyone tell me what originally went in this spot, if anything? I thought there may have been an electrical disconnect installed at one time but the parts manual doesn't show anything like that. Any information would be helpful, thanks

Hi All
Thae top 3 holes are used for the starter button and to allow the cable to connect from batt to switch as shown in the photos. I had a new box made for when the R4 come home from its holiday in the USA.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
