Could someone please tell me what year or serial number did the original D2 "tulip shape" air cleaners get superseded by the ones with the jar hanging on them?

I don't have the D2 info but for the D4 the change was 7J196 (1940)

Both the 3J and 5J changed to the jar style precleaner in the first year of production, 1938, 3J 1476 and 5J 723.
