Over the last year and a half I've been through this entire machine from front to back, everything is either new or back to spec. There literally isn't a nut or bolt that hasn't been apart and back together again. I've finally made it to the paint stage, I took some pictures tonight before covering things back up for the coming rain.

I partially disassembled it again for paint after running it enough to make the necessary adjustments and verifying everything worked properly. I blocked it up to get the track chains off so I could get paint to all the undercarriage surfaces. I left the track frames on the chassis and hit the whole thing as one piece. I'm not going as far with this paint job as I have in the past, this machine isn't going to be a trailer queen. After cleaning I assembled the track pads to the rails and painted them in one piece (the tracks weren't split for this), I had four old sprockets laying around so I put two in each track and rolled each track down pieces of plywood as I painted them. This way I could get paint in every area that would be exposed when on the machine. I know it will mostly wear off here but I can't help it, I just had to paint 'em. I've also finished the fenders, seat tank, hydraulic lines, grill and grill guard, and most all the misc. control rods, levers, and nuts and bolts. Next the rest of the sheet metal, blade assemblies, and related items will get done. I'll post more pictures then.

After prepping the metal I used an epoxy primer on everything except the tracks. I sprayed the DuPont Centari Acrylic Enamel 421A formula that I got from bcwayne. It covers real nice and the hardner gives it good gloss.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
