Over the last couple of weeks I replaced the rebound spring under my D2. I took it off the blocks and tested it out by pushing around a couple of trees. All was well. I then put it back on the blocks to install the skid plate. Two days later when I went to use it the right steering clutch handle was stuck. I gave it a stout pull and it came free but the clutch was very week and would barely turn the machine. After an hour there was no clutch at all it was like the right track was in neutral. I'm thinking that it's time for a new one. But before I take on this project I thought I would ask if there might be something easier that I should check out. Clutch lever has the three inches of free play and it moves like it should, there is just no power to the track.

The plate and drum may be stuck apart, rust or a broken clutch disc or the lever linkage may be damaged.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
