Howdy Folks,

I need to replace or at least adjust my fan belt. The adjusting sheave was frozen up, but I got it to move some by soaking it with Kroil for a few days, and rapping it with a wood block and hammer. IS THERE A SPECIAL WRENCH FOR TURNING THIS?

I’m also going to need to rebuild the water pump sooner or later. Is there someplace to buy a rebuilt one, or is it strictly a bench job?

Thanks!

Once mine was freed up, I used a c-spanner. You could easily make one out of a piece of 3/16 mild plate, cut to the perfect size. I don't know about rebuilt pumps but you could check with Cat parts to start with. I think it's not too bad of a job to do yourself apart from having to be careful with the seal

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
