Good day all

Looking for some fed back on what a 1947 D2 5U might be worth.

It was used primarily as an agricultural cat on heavy clay ground. It was 7000 hrs on it. We had to pull it to start it, the big engine sounds nice, doesn't miss. The pup engine has electric start, no battery, no gas. Gas line was disconnected.

Grousers, rails, under carriage is in relatively decent shape for its age. It sat for about 30 years.

My father and I had a D2 -4U, but it went missing. So I would like to get something similar for a restoration project.

This cat is located in Saskatchewan, Canada.

Regards

Look forward to hear back from all you wizards out there.

Sold my D2 5U for 3500 in good running shape back 10 years ago or so,

It had the 2cyl pony motor to start and sold it with the later model flywheel housing so the buyer could convert it to electric start.

May know of a pair of orchard style spares in my local area if parts are required..

They have been sitting for the last 25-30 years I suspect.

ETA: My D2 5U had a blade and hydraulic pump on the radiator mount and it was a standard seat not the low ag type seat.

Most agricultural cats loke that one that are actually running, with the steering clutches and brakes working and not stuck seem to hover around the $2,000 to $3,000 area. If they have tool bars or other more rare attachments they seem to command a bit more.

hello welcome to acmoc i pick up a d2 j3 ag at from up melford way a while back. from what i see there and from what i seen self i would say it would be in that 2500-3500 range. the biggies thing is make sure both party are happy with the price. but will have to give you a disclaimer that it is a slippery slop once you get one cat it's kinda down hill from there next thing i know you will be running me up at a local auction lol. get and have some fun we need more guys up in my neck of the woods.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
