I just inherited a D2 5J #83 from my great uncle. Its in great shape as he just used it in his 1/2 acre garden twice a year. I would like to find out exactly what year it was produced. I know they began production in 1938. I plan on tinkering on it when I can and try to keep it in good condition.

As low a SN as that is it must have been made in 1938 yet as the starting date is 1938 as you stated also in my SNID book.

Where is the best place to find a schematic of the D2 5J? Most of them that I've found online don't seem to provide an accurate picture of what my D2 looks like.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
