I'd like to repair my tank but would have to farm out the work since I'm not that good at welding. I couldn't find any posts as to how to do the work so I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on doing it or should I just search for a replacement. I've looked around for one that was straight but haven't had any luck. I'm thinking it may be cheaper to have it repaired. What do you guys think?
Thanks,
Chris

Is this a leak at the weld or a dent to pull out and repair. My side tank had been bumped and a weld was repaired with something like JB weld, it didn't hold after a couple years.
I took my tank to a radiator repair shop, they welded and pressure checked. everything is fine now except for the wallet.

OCB,
It's just dented in the back pretty bad. Just want it straightened out and probably dipped to get the crud out.

Hello Vinny, Sandman(Karl) is a good guy to deal with. I bought a good used tank from him a few years ago. He sends you good pic's of what he is selling and doesn't mis-represent the condition of the part he is selling. Have not installed the tank yet, but will in the near future. Give him a try if you decide fixing your tank will cost too much $. Just my 2cents worth. Joe Giraud😄

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
